Almost 15 years ago I had started to build a simple regenerative sarcophagus that was used to enhance the effects of the rejuvenation effects experienced while practicing the Emerald Tablets Exercise (see References above). Since the 15 years have passed, technology has reached a point where the understanding of the fundamentals of how the technology works, as well as research from other people, has given a clear understanding of how to build a more powerful device. I have noticed that placing the LED light so it shines more in my dominant eye seems to boost the effect because the dominant eye is access to consciousness in the mind.


 

Research by graduate engineer Mario Buildreps has confirmed my hypothesis that one of the main fundamentals of this exercise is that right at the very start of the exericse, the body MUST be in a completely relaxed state in order for phycial regeneration to take place.

The second fundamental is that it involves subtle magnetic fields.

Cellular ATP levels have been proven to be influenced by moderate and strong static magnetic fields. Science has also now confirmed that all living organisms are surrounded by various Magnetic fields and these fields have been proven to heal.  For example earth's magnetic field is between 35 and 70 μT. While artifically generated 35 μT magnetifc fields have been proven to be detrimental to the health of the body, short term exposure has been shown to be beneficial. Low levels of this magnetic field for SHORT PERIODS of time have been scientifically proven to heal the body. For example, 35 μT has been shown to reduce the survival of cancer cells and enhance ROS as well as increase vasomotion and microcirculation, leading an increase in cell nutrients  and removal of toxins from cells. QI GONG

From my 15 years of reserach I have confirmed that the main fundamental of Tablet #13 is that it is really an ancient form of QI Gong.  Studies now confirm that QI Gong can positively affect the magnetic field of the body. Okay, now that a few fundamental basics are known, and if you have reviewed the Life Rods shown at the start of the referencing section of this page, it is now possible to build a portable device that is more powerful and is able to merge  /  add synergy to the rejuvenation effects experienced by the body while practicing the Emerald Tablets Exercise.


The newly revised device utilizes a more powerful LED light, as well as more precise coils and what are called magnetic cuff links.  This simply creates a stronger alignment of the magnetic field of the human body, which in turn aurally enhances the regenerative effects felt within the body while the exercise is practiced.  In the future, or the technology may already exists, there should be strong beneficial physiological changes of the body before and after practicing the Emerald Tablets exercise using the newly revised life rods pack. The new device also does not use long rebar rods. This has been condensed by the proper coils to generate the right magnetic fields as well as a softer iron and more intense LED.

Is an 670nm LED Better than a Laser?

Research has shown that there exists no significant difference between an LED (830 nm) and a laser (810 nm), regarding the penetration of light. A study found that using LED's once (670 nm) increased ATP.  However a single session of using a laser did not enhance ATP levels. (670 nm).

Parkinson's can cause the brain's dopamine levels to drop.  A study looked at using an LED at 670nm or a laser at 670nm wavelength to determine if it could reduce degeneration of the dopaminergic cells. The study found that both the low power LED and the high power laser were equally effective in preserving the brain's cells. What was interesting in this study was that the laser was considered unsuitable when used for more than 6 days because it caused excessive heat build-up. Does 810nm have any effects?
Scientists that researched 670nm also found that there were good results at 810nm.  A research study found that when both 670 nm and 810 nm were applied together at the same time, that these wavelengths exhibited a greater overall beneficial outcome when tested for strength of neurocognition on human volunteers.

In 2009 a clinical study to test if 810nm could reduce the effect of depression was conducted.  The study found that human volunteers undering 810 nm LED's when applied to their forehead showed major reductdions in anxiety and major depression

"A pilot study showed that LLLT applied transcranially to the forehead was able to increase frontal cortex blood flow and induce a 63% reduction in depression scores in a group of patients with major depression. Beneficial antidepressant effects were seen 2 weeks and 4 weeks after a single treatment. LLLT was given in one fraction at 810 nm, power density of 250 mW/cm2.84 Additionally, LLLT to the forehead and scalp with an LED cluster at 633 nm and 870 nm has been reported to improve and maintain attention, executive function, and memory in two patients with chronic traumatic brain injury. LLLT with a power density of 22.2 mW/cm2 was applied for 10 minutes per placement weekly for 2 months or daily for 4 months prior to testing of the cognitive effects, and these patients have continued daily treatment at home for up to 5.5 years. 830nm
This is close to the wavelength of 810nm.  Studies have also confirmed the effectivenss of this wavelength and its healing abilities. When a mixture of both 660nm and 830nm LED's were shone on the forehead of a person for 10 minuites the patient reported she was better able to concentrate for longer periods of time.  She also reported increased memory recall and an improved ability to solve mathematical problems.

850NM
"The study presented that light irradiation with 850-nm LED source on right PFC could change brain electrical activity and has beneficial effects on attentional performance."

Studies by Jagdeo et al. experimited by shining 830nm light upon the skulls on human cadavers and discovered that the regions that light penetrated differed.  The light penetrated 11.7% at the occipital region, 0.9% at the temporal region and 2.1% at the frontal region of the skull. The light that had the deepest penetration was 808 nm, reaching a depth of 40–50 mm.

670nm Strengthens Cognition
In people without medical issues, cognitive enhancement effects have been shown to take place in people using 670nm wavelengths of light. Studies by Pitzschke and colleagues found that the deepest penetration of the 670 nm and 810 nm wavelengths took place when delivered by a transphenoidal or transcranial approach, with the best combination being 810 nm delivered transphenoidally.  In studies conducted on lab rats using LED's, transcranial at 660 nm caused a 5% dose-dependent increase in oxygen consumption.  What was also interesting in the above study, was that this wavelength of light reduced the emoiton of fear.

How to reduce your use of Neurocognition Supplements
Many anti-aging herbal combinations also support and enhance brain functioning.  The 670nm wavelength also appears to be having similar effects.  This means that you can use less herbal supplements to support brain function, allowing these wavelengths of light to exhibit similar effects as herbal supplements.

The healing effects of 627nm on the Elderly
Salgado et al. applied LED's in the wavelength of 627nm to twenty-five healthy elderly women with an average age of 72 years of age.  This was applied twice a week for a period of 1 month. The LED lights were shone at four points of the parietal and frontal region. After a month the study found significant increases in the blood flow and health of the volunteers' neurocognitive abiliites; perhaps due to a more effecient arterial blood flow in these regions of the brain.

LED's for healing and regeneration

Now that we have shown that magnetic fields can influence the cell, let's cover the healing power of LED's.

Unlike a laser, LED'S are not monochromatic, and emit significant amounts of light either side of the specified emission peak, allowing LED'S to emit light in the range of between 400 and 890 nm. The light of an LED contains Terrahertz frequencies, which is a very short, yet penetrating frequency that penetrates only the upper layers of the skin and even teeth; kind of like x-rays without the harmfull radiation.

A 2020 research study discovered that by using 670NM LED's they were able to improve mitochondrial functioning and ATP, which in turn acted as the catalyst to enhance eyesight in human subjects. The most significant improvemensts occured in people 40 years and older.  The paper also stated that out of all parts of the human body, the retina ages fastest with a 70% reduction in ATP over one's lifespan. The study used 10 ordinary common LED's, like the one's you find in an ordinary flashlight, and asked the volunteers to shine the light onto their dominant eye for 3 minutes every morning for 2 weeks. The researchers concluded that the volunteers aged between 28  and 68 years showed significant improvement. Further research found that when volunteer group was divided into younger and older, adults, the most improvements were in people over the age of 38. The researchers in the study concluded that 670-nm LED's in older participants improved tritan thresholds bringing them toward levels found in younger individuals. Why many believe that eyes cannot be restored as a person ages.
Your eyes contain special cones that are responsible for your color vision.  These cones have have high energy demands. Unlike the rods in your eyes, these cones cannot die out completely as a person ages. Specific LED's in the 670 nm wavelength may be replentishing these hungry cones by activating Mitochondrial Functioning and replentishing ATP in regions near the eyes. This in turn The ability to improve cone function is of importance because these cells.

Will just any ordinary 670 LED Work?
This is such a hot topic that it attracted a lot of attention in the budgetlightforum. So one of the people contacted the author of the above research study. He stated he also used 810nm and here is his reply.

"A patient came to me with a single 670nm LED and a battery. she joined them with her fingers and asked me if it would work. I tested it and said yes. Nothing magical."  - we now have as good effects with much much lower power output
(meaning LED's instead of lasers)


Other people, not knowing about the reserach study have used an LED treat an eye injury upon the cornea of the eye.

"successfully treated a scratch on the cornea with an LED (this was most likely the low power early single LED's) after a piece of plastic fell into her eye. After one hour of holding the light onto the closed eyelid, the pain and tearing were gone, vision was unaffected and no more problems occurred."

The effectiveness of using 670nm and 830nm LED's to heal the retina, has already been confirmed by research studies. 830 nm is beneficial following partial optic nerve transection.670 nm delivered by LED light was generally more effective at improving function or protecting neurons than 830 nm .The greater efficacy of 670 nm R/NIR-IT was apparent despite a greater percentage of delivered photons of 830 nm than 670 nm penetrating through skin and muscle. The absorbance of cytochrome c oxidase is much greater at 670 nm than 830 nm [which may explain why the 670 nm light.

LED devices contain frequencies 400 terahertz up to 600 terahertz and also produce a subtle magnetic field below 1.0 mG.

Marble Slabs and THZ Terrahertz Frequencies

You will notice in the early research on the life rods (see references above) that granite slabs were used to enhance the rejuvenation energy while the exercise was practiced. it just so happens that granite, especially dolomite acts as a lens for Terrahertz Frequencies. Most amazing of all, is the Terraherz Frquency affects molecules very easliy,  allowing it to be very sensitive to various kinds of resonances such as vibrational, translational, rotational, torsional, and conformational states. If we convert 447 terrahertz to nanometers we get 670nm. As mentioned earlier LED devices contain frequencies 400 terahertz up to 600 terahertz. Has effects on neuroprotection. Relatively low doses of light can have therapeutic benefits.. R/NIR-IT has the potential to be a clinically relevant, cost-effective and easy-to-administer treatment to reduce oxidative stress and preserve function

ATP and 670nm
What is ATP?
The human body, as wel as many mammals uses a fuel called adenosine triphosphate, which also called ATP).  This is generated in the cells by mitochondria.  The performance of mitochondrial can be influenced by specific wavelengths of light and research is shown that the longer wavelengths of light in the 660 to 1000 nm range, delivered using LED's can affect ATP functioning.
ATP production generally starts to decine as an organism ages or when an organism is diseased. I

It may very well be that applying the proper wavelength of light during the right times of a 24 hour period for a specfic duration (dose dependant) will act as a way to "recharge" ATP production in the mitochondria of the cells. This would cause increases or return to health and order in the central nervous system and vision / eyesight in organisms, including mammals. In fruit fly experiements it was shown that mitochondrial functioniong varies over the course of the day.


An in-depth research study set out to determine if the wavelength 670nm would have any affect on the ATP production in flies during a 24 hour period. The flies were exposed to 670m for 15 minutes a day for a week.  The LED used was from C.H. Electronics in the United Kingdom. The research study found that a specific pattern in ATP production took place. The pattern took place over a period of peaks. The first peak began at 7 a.m, the second peak at between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and the final largest peak occuring at between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  When the flies were exposed to 670nm light there were statistically significant increases in their production of ATP with the largest increase occuring between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The study found that no changes took place when the flies were exposed to 670 nm at 4 p.m. in the afternoon and during the night.

ADP Energy Reserves
When ATP has an excess of energy it pools this energy in the form of ADP.  ADP reserves also showed the same pattern as ATP with the same peaks.  The study concluded that ATP production in fruit flies undergoes a cascadian rhythum, peaking around 8:30 a.m each morning and that it is possible to shift these patterns of energy production using long wavelength of light. The study also found that this is not possible during the afternoon and night.

Research Summary
A marked production in ATP peaks in the morning hours, which declines around noon, reamaining low throughout the afternoon and night. ATP production is improved using long wavelengths of light in the 660 nm) range, but is not effectieve at all times. When fruit flies were treated with 670 nm light, it caused a significant enhahcment of ATP production with the peak zone being between 8.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. during each 24 hour cycle. This optimal zone is a key period at which manipulating ATP levels using 670nm LED light can be used to add energy to mitochondrial functioning. The reason there is a peak and decline in mitochondrial activity over a 24 hour period may be due to the fact that the cells are naturally elevating their ATP production during the early part of the day, in order to create energy for the remainder of the day. As an organism ages, this energetic zone of activity becomes less responsible or is not able to hold the morning charge for as long a period of time.

Using the ATP Peak Zone to Improve Vision
This same effect has been used with success on human volunteers.  Studies conducted on aged volunteers with poor vision, found that when 670 nm light was applied, that they exhibited improved colour contrast ability.  The improvements in viision were not noted when the light was applied in the afternoons.

Studies conducted by Weinrich et al looked at mitochondrial functioning of fruit files over the course of 24 hours, studying glycolysis and respiration. His research found that 670 nm red light enhanced oxygen consumption when the light was applied in the mornings, but not in the afternoons.  When aged flies showed improved ATP production using 670 nm red light applied in the mornings, the aged fruit flies showed enhanced cognition, mobility  and retinal functioning.

Red and near infrared light improves cell functionining and survival time in animal studies and has been shown to help treat macular degeneration, Parkinson's
disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injur an, stroke. Other studies have found this wavelength effective in treating age related diseases.

Hence there may be more than just light involved. LED light may be interacting with some sort of energy field that is coupoing to a subtle magnetic field around an organism that is causing the beneficial effects.



Is 670NM the Anti-Aging Frequency?

670 nm has been shown to be effective in preventing photoreceptor cell death in the retina (Efficacy of 670 nm Light Therapy to Protect against Photoreceptor Cell Death Is Dependent on the Severity of Damage. Joshua A. Chu-Tan et al).

Could it be that the healing / anti-aging effects taking place via 670nm are due to the SOX9 gene being stimulated?  For example, 670 nm LED's have been shown to dimish reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and preserve mitochondrial integrity (670nm photobiomodulation modulates bioenergetics and oxidative stress, in rat Müller cells challenged with high glucose. 670 nm has been shown to up-regulate the Bcl-2 anti-apoptosis gene (Mechanisms and applications of the anti-inflammatory effects of photobiomodulation. Michael R Hamblin) and the Bcl-2 gene has been shown to regulate the expression of the Sox9-Gene

One of the main clues to finalize this question is because SOX9 dramatically improves osteoarthritis in the knee (Overexpression of SOX9 alleviates the progression of human osteoarthritis in vitro and in vivo. Yuanming Ouyang et al.) all we need to do is see if 670nm allievates osteoarthritis in the knee). It just so happens that a study titled: Effectiveness of phototherapy incorporated into an exercise program for osteoarthritis of the knee, hypothesised this very same theory, but the study never got off the ground. Who pulled the funding for this study and why?

A long straight coil of wire can be used to generate a nearly uniform magnetic field similar to that of a bar magnet. The field can be greatly strengthened by the addition of an iron core. Such cores are typical in electromagnets.

Electromagnetic fields were generated by two solenoids connected to an alternating-current power generator. Each solenoid was made of 380-round turn coil (19 cm in diameter and 17.5 in length) and a long magnetic wire twisted around a Plexiglass cylinder. ELF-EMF-exposed animals were placed in a plastic cage inside the center of a cylinder surrounded by solenoids. ELF-EMF led to an increase in the number of newly generated and mature neurons in the hippocampus. Arias et al. found that magnetic field could improve neurogenesis by altering endogenous electric fields. The stimulation consisted of an oscillatory magnetic field (60 Hz; 0.7 mT).  Furthermore, the results of the present study demonstrated that ELF-EMF exposure increased the number of BrdU+ cells in the hippocampal DG and enhanced cell proliferation in neurons.In conclusion, the present study demonstrated that ELF-EMF exposure could improve learning and memory impairment. These effects could be attributed to the induction of neurogenesis and proliferation of neurons generated from stem cells in the neurogenic layer of the hippocampus.
