The saying that the most effective things are the most simple holds true in the case of a little known secret to staying young using olive oil. This secret has been known for at least more than 100 years. It has been known for decades the reason people of the Mediterranean live such long lives is due to their high consumption of olives and olive oil. This allows them to have some of the lowest rates of  Coronary Heart Disease anywhere in the world, which is attributed to their high consumption of olive oil in their diet.

Goddard Ezekiel Doge Diamond

In a 1913 newspaper article published by the San Francisco Call (Volume 114, Number 164, 22 November 1913) Goddard Ezekiel Doge Diamond at 117 years of age attributed his long lived life to applying olive oil all over his body before bed.  He paid particular attention to the joint areas such as his elbows, knees and upper shoulders. He also drank small amounts of Olive Oil.

Sources state he rubbed olive oil over his body for 40 years at least once per day, and sometimes twice.  He began this process at age 60. At 100 he was able to perform gymnastics and at 108 ride a bike and take long walks.

Jeanne Calment

Jeanne was born in 1875 in France. Jeanne lived to over 120 years of age and attributed her long healthy life to olive oil.

Both Mariam and Jeanne have shared their secrets of how they use olive oil for their longevity routine.

Jeanne sips two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil daily.  Jeanne began and finished her meals with extra virgin olive oil including smearing it over the cooking pan prior to cooking. She also would rub it into her skin. Jeanne also loved chocolate and ate up to a kilogram of it every week.

Mariam would drink up to 1 full glass of olive oil every day.

WHAT TYPE OF OLIVE OIL?

It is key that the cold pressed virgin olive oil is used.  This is because the other type of olive oil has been refined by high heat, removing all of its beneficial anti-aging properties.

ADAPTABILITY TO HARSH ENVIRONMENTS

Some types of olive trees grow well in desert environments making them an excellent desert tolerant crop. This adaptability to environmental extremes is a common attribute in foods and herbs that extend lifespan. For example goji berry plants prefer climates that are hot and dry in the summer. And Rhodiola rosea, which is also called Arctic Root, grows in cold regions of the world, including much of the Arctic. The nutrients in these herbs that have adapted to extremes are passed on down to the person who consumes them.  This then extends the person's lifespan.  There are multiple scientific studies showing goji berry and Rhodiola rosea extend lifespan. Below are just a few of the many published scientific studies.

What is the lifespan of an olive tree?

The lifespan of an olive tree is measured in hundreds of years, although there are scientifically documented cases where some olive trees have lived to more than 2,000 years of age. As a matter of fact the renowned Olive Tree of Vouves is estimated to be over 3,000 years old.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES USING OLIVE OIL

For a few weeks I tested this theory and rubbed olive oil all over my body, especially the joint areas. It works best rubbing it in after you shower.  Also it is a good idea to wash your pajamas and bed sheets more often than usual, as the olive oil can saturate them creating a yellow stain.  The very first thing I noted each morning was much more enhanced flexibility of my elbows and knees and improved cognitive abilities such as a sharper memory and extended longer term mental performance.  I could not drink the olive oil because it was too sour, so I add it to cooking and may eventually add it to spring or mineral water diluted.  After a few weeks I decided to add some salt water from the ocean in a ratio of 10 parts olive oil to 1 part ocean seawater.  I noticed this seemed to enhance the results.  Please note that the seawater I used is from the unpolluted Pacific Ocean in the remote Hawaiian Islands, which is rich in minerals, so this may not work if you live near a polluted ocean seawater source. It may work if you use Hawaiian Sea Salt or Dead Sea Salt crystals diluted with distilled water into the olive oil although I have yet to see if this works.  I have also noted that when using olive oil for cooking, it acts as a heat retainer.  In other words food that has been cooked with olive oil will retain heat for a longer period of time. It is as if the olive oil acts as a heat protector, keeping food hot longer.

Notes about using Salt Water

If adding pristine salt water from an unpolluted source to the Olive Oil, it is important that it must be as FRESH AS POSSIBLE or it will turn rancid in the olive oil after a few weeks. It is best to use saltwater less then 3 days old and keep it in a separate bottle.  Add the salt water separately to the olive oil when using.  The saltwater will stay freshly bottled if kept out of light and heat for up to a week.

SUMMARIZED CONCLUSION

So the billions of dollars spent every year on trying to discover the next “anti-aging secret” may have already been known since the 1930’s.  Alchemy, the red powder which when just a few sprinkles are added to wine, which regenerates the body is an even older secret still, which was supposed to have been discovered in the 1700’s, although no one has publically stated how to make it.  If I find, it you can be sure it will be posted in an article one ez3dbiz.com.  My current alchemy research page is posted below:

The reason olive oil extends lifespan could be due to its high presence of lignans which has been found in high concentrations in extra virgin olive oil (Phenolic compounds and squalene in olive oils. R.W. Owen. August 2000), compared to refined olive oil.  Numerous studies are also showing that lignans are promising candidates for extending lifespan, including the herb Arctium lappa. The lignin used in the study referenced below increased the lifespan of the worms up to 25%.

The olive oil method works extremely well with the following combination taken before going to bed -

 1 carnosine capsule
 2 Cod Liver Oil Capsules
 2 Vitamin D3 Capsules
 2 Vitamin C Capsules

During late winter, heading into early spring, if you are doing the grapefruit cleanse/detox: taking grapefruit or grapefruit juice with honey starting at 12 noon every few hours before bed, causes a considerable boost to the feelings of strength and renewal when the Olive Oil rub down and carnosine  formula/mix is taken.

By performing this routine, especially on Friday evenings, it adds significant strength to the body, which is felt the following morning (Saturday), and up to 4 days afterwards.

Important Olive Oil Usage Notes -

Avoid rubbing Olive Oil around the lungs region

Use only the required 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil, as rubbing excess Olive Oil into the body creates unnecessary stress on the lungs.

The type of Olive Oil used must be as fresh as possible. It must be stored/kept away from direct sunlight and heat. Olive Oil that has turned rancid and that is rubbed into the body can have negative consequences, primarily weakening the immune system.
