One excellent example of how adequate levels of HGH can positively impact the of seniors is in the lifestyle of Dr. Life. The photo below shows Dr. Life before he increased his Human Growth Hormone levels and the photo on the right is after he increased his levels of HGH. As of 2015, Dr. Life is 73 years old.

Human growth hormone is also known as HGH and is one of the most rapid methods to keep the metabolism of the body at younger levels. Just as exercise increases superoxide dismutase levels, Human Growth Hormone is also increased just after a period of moderate exercise.  This is also the time that you should avoid foods high in sugar for at least 30 minutes after moderate exercise because it can inhibit the production of human growth hormone.

Our first study shows that ingesting carbohydrates (sucrose) with whey protein isolate during recovery from 90 minutes of treadmill exercise increased human growth hormone in response to a second exhaustive exercise bout of similar duration (J.A. Betts et al. June 2013).

How to Use Niacin to Create Massive Amounts of HGH

Niacin has been proven to increase HGH (Quabbe, et al, 1983).
In the Quabbe study, researchers administered 500 mg niacin intravenously to humans, and witnessed a dramatic rise in their human growth hormone levels. During their second series of tests they administered an infusion of fatty acids along with Niacin and noted no increase in HGH. This means that Niacin works best when taken 2 to 3 hours apart from foods (on an empty stomach). The chart below shows the results (Lipids are fats). As the study shows, human growth hormone increased 30 minutes and again 240 minutes after taking niacin.

Speaking from personal experience, I have found taking high niacin foods and doing exercise at the 30 minute and 240 minute mark causes a stronger increase in Human Growth Hormone levels.  Let’s take a look at a scientific study confirming execise and HGH.

In another study conducted during March 2008 titled: The growth hormone response to repeated bouts of sprint exercise with and without suppression of lipolysis in men, conducted by K.A. Stokes and colleagues, 7 healthy men were given Niacin approximately before undergoing a single 30 second high intensity sprint (short bursts of exercise causes the body to produce lactic acid).  The study concluded that taking Niacin before a 30 second intensive sprint boosted Human Growth Hormone. Let’s take a look at a study taking Niacin 1.5 hours before exercising.

Studies have shown that growth hormone secretion can rise 300 percent with exercise when niacin is not taken. However this next study proves that human growth hormone can be “turbocharged” 600 percent or more when niacin is rotated with rest periods of exercise. The study was as follows.

Sprint 1
The night before participants fasted. Fasting has also been shown to increase Human Growth Hormone (H. Nørrelund et al. January 2001). The following morning, a 1 Gram dose of Niacin was consumed and the participants rested for an hour before beginning Sprint 1. Next the participants cycled for approximately 5 minutes starting at a low threshold and gradually increasing the resistance of the pedaling towards the end of the 5 minutes, allowing for maximum effort. After a 5 minute rest they performed an all-out hard core 30 second sprint, running as fast as they could to build up maximum levels of lactic acid. After resting for an hour the participants ingested 0.5 grams of Niacin. 2 hours later a further 0.5 grams of Niacin was ingested.

Sprint 2
After waiting 1 hour later from taking the last dose of Niacin, the same routine as Sprint 1 shown earlier was conducted. After the Sprint 2 exercise, the participants rested for an hour.
The study found that Human Growth Hormone levels were significantly greater following the second sprint, compared to the first sprint. The study concluded that whenever two sprints are performed and are separated by an hour or 4 hours with recovery in-between that Human Growth Hormone release is maximized. The brand of Niacin used in the study was Niacin 500 mg; Solgar Vitamin and Herbs capsules.

Niacin Ingestion Times

    1 grams ingested 60 min before sprint 1
    0.5 grams ingested at 60 min after sprint 1
    0.5 grams ingested 180 min after sprint 1

According to the graph shown on the following page, peak human growth hormone during the second sprint was two times higher.  It is key that a milder processed form of Niacin supplement (not the flush free niacin) is used because the doses required (between 1 gram and 3 grams) cannot be obtained from foods in a single serving. For example you would need to eat a toxic amount of beef liver (approx 15 lbs) to get near 1 gram of niacin in the body.  These secretion levels shown in the study are much higher than HGH levels obtained during deep sleep.

Because excessive exercise has been shown to be detrimental to health, we don't want to have to perform the HGH boosting exercise everyday. What if we could locate anti-aging "windows" where the effects of HGH circulate in the body for longer periods of time then usual? This would give a longer lasting effect, with less effort.  It means we could do the HGH enhancing exercise once a week, or a few times a month or even monthly to keep our HGH levels at optimal levels.

This method is derived from over 7 years of research. I have come to call it the "Longevity Routine". It was discovered quite by accident when I was living in Hawaii.  I discovered that after taking foods high in Niacin, then a few hours later going on a long bike ride that the next morning I would wake up refreshed and revitalized.  This effect was significantly magnified when earth's geomagnetic activity levels were more active (also known as KP). I wasn't until I discovered that Niacin boosts HGH levels and that Sesame seeds are one of the foods highest in Niacin, that the connection had been made (Hedge Mustard (Sisymbrium seeds) is also high in Niacin).

Geomagnetic Storms Have Been Proven To Boost Cortisol Levels

A study titled: Magnetic storms and variations in hormone levels among residents of North Polar area, conducted by Tamara Breus at colleges and published in 2014 stated that during June and October when geomagnetic activity was stronger, increases in cortisol were noted. During June the cortisol increase was about 30% and in October 16% to 38% in October. A drop in HGH during increased levels of geomagnetic activity was GMA from 18 to 30% of the average range of intragroup variations.  This concludes that at high geographical latitudes increased levels of geomagnetic activity causes significant changes in several hormones. This has since been confirmed by other independent studies (T.K. Breus et al. Jan 2015).  The following image shows higher KP periods.

Cortisol has a daily rhythmic pattern, producing more in the morning to handle stress then dropping as evening arrives. High cortisol levels causes a drop in the production of the anti-aging hormone called dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). DHEA is at high levels when we are young, however decline after we reach age of 20. Low DHEA also causes loss of stamina, muscle mass, strength, sex drive, fatigue, memory decline and other age related issues. In short, keeping a healthy level of cortisol levels in the body increases DHEA production.

So are strong geomagnetic storms helping the body produce more Human Growth Hormone? or are they re-balancing the effect of high Cortisol Levels?
Early on in my research I used to think that stronger geomagnetic storms were producing more Human Growth Hormone in the body, but after in-depth review of the scientific literature, I believe that people over 40 experience disruptions in their cortisol rhythms when geomagnetic levels are higher.  When steps are taken that enhance Human Growth Hormone during these stronger geomagnetic storm periods, the cortisol levels automatically become re-balanced as Human Growth Hormone Levels Rise.  Let's take a look at the scientific studies to confirm this.

A study published in April of 1980 titled: Suppression of cortisol secretion by human growth hormone conducted by D.E. Schteingart confirmed that when HGH was administered to patients, cortisol levels dropped.
Another study published in November 1994 titled: The effect of growth hormone replacement on cortisol metabolism and glucocorticoid sensitivity in hypopituitary adults, conducted by J.U. Weaver and colleagues confirmed at 21% reduction in Coritsol after human growth hormone levels in adults was increased.

Let's turn this into a basic formula.

Increased Geomagnetic Activity = elevated corisol levels + Enhancing the Body's Levels of HGH = restores/re balances/resets an aging body's increased cortisol levels = accelerated health with anti-aging effects.

This would also imply that oxidative stress levels in the body are a result of unbalanced corisol levels which has been confirmed by numerous recent scientific studies (David Costantini et al. 2012).
A study published in July 2004 titled: Perceived stress and cortisol levels predict speed of wound healing in healthy male adults and conducted by M. Ebrechet and colleagues, concluded that a considerable influence exists of stress influencing on wound healing.  Elevated cortisol levels, rather than altered health behaviors, play a role in this effect.

Moon Phase and Cortisol Levels

My research early on found that around new moons this "rejuvenative" effect was enhanced.  So let's take a look at cortisol levels and moon phase.

A study titled: Evidence that the lunar cycle influences human sleep published in August 2013 and conducted by C. Cajochen and colleagues found that during full moons deep sleep decreased 30% and the time to fall asleep took 5 minutes longer. All signs of increased cortisol levels. There have since been additional studies confirming elevated cortisol levels during full moons (The effect of the lunar cycle on fecal cortisol metabolite levels and foraging ecology of nocturnally and diurnally active spiny mice. R. Gutman et al. August 2011).

Cycles of Human Growth Hormone

A study titled: Diurnal Variation in the Responsiveness of Human Subjects to Human Growth Hormone, published in April 1973 and conducted by Daniel Rudman and colleagues using injections of HGH that the results were better when injected at 11 p.m. compared to 8 a.m.  This makes sense because coritsol levels are highest in the mornings when the body needs more energy and naturally decline at night as one goes to sleep.
Saunas Increase HGH

A study published in 1988 titled: How the sauna affects the endocrine system, conducted by K. Kukkonen-Harjula and K.  Kauppinen showed that growth hormone levels increased after using a sauna. Another study confirmed increases in HGH, but only after using the sauna for 3 days in a row (J. Leppäluoto et al. November 1986).

Taking niacin for prolonged periods causes your liver to start getting used to it, so it is best to take a break after a while. A 200 milligram dose of niacin causes a mild increase in HGH. (Irie, 1967, 1970) Using more than 800 milligrams of niacin per day can cause severe liver problems. It is also important to use the flush type of Niacin as the non-flush version does not work.  If you want to avoid your skin “flushing” then you can take asprin or white willow bark tincture or tea. The good news about asprin is it has been proven to extend lifespan.

Noted Effects aftter Geomagnetic Storms.

Speaking from personal experience, I have always noticed a slight, worn down, aging effect the period just after a strong geomagnetic storm, unless I perform longevity exercises such as the Emerald Tablets or Niacin HGH rebuilding exercises. Could this mean that performing anti-aging exercises during periods when geomagnetic storms are stronger may reverse aging? Further research is necesssary to confirm this observation. Studies have already confirmed a link between solar activity and lifespan

Research on Magnetic Fields And Longevity of Animals

At least five laboratory studies have been done on animals showing an increase in life span of about 30 per cent.

1) Dr. S. Alexander of the North American Aviation Corporation showed an increase in mice life span up to 45% when they were treated with magnets (polarity, intensity, and duration unspecified in my abstract of this early study).

2) Dr. Hajime Okae of Kyorin University, Tokyo kept mice in a magnetic field of 4200 Gauss (polarity unspecified) for 59 days. After they were removed from the magnetic field, they lived an average age of 400 days.  That is one-third longer than a typical mice life span which is 308 days. Blood samples of the magnetically treated mice survived an average of 120 days, compared to untreated mice which lived 70-100 days.

3) In India when mice showed aging symptoms, they were treated with a magnetic field of 3000 to 4200 gauss (polarity not specified) for an hour, morning and evening.  This was done daily for three to four months. During this they appeared 6 to 8 months old. One 250 day old mouse lived to 615 days in good health.

4) Albert Davis and Walter Rawls, reported rats and mice lived longer when exposed to the stimulating bio south magnetic pole and that they weren’t allowed to mate. Davis and Rawls claimed mice exposed to the calming bionorth pole showed increases in lifespans. Exposure of the testicles to a biosouth polarity resulted in shorter life span.

5) Chinese acupuncturists, Minda Hsu and Cbikuo Fong, filled a beaker with tadpoles that was treated with a magnetic field of 800 gauss (polarity not specified). The tadpoles lived an average of 27 days, compared to 21 days for the non magnetically treated tadpoles.

6) In another study conducted by Hsu and Fong, mice that were placed in a cage shielded from Earth’s natural geomagnetic field died sooner than the control group. This proves the human body benefits from the presence of earth's magnetic field.

Dr. Kenneth MacLean founder of the Institute of Biomagnetics in New York, used a mechanically rotating permanent magnet. He was looked much younger than his chronological age and continued to retain his youthful hair color well into his 60’s. Elderly people treated with his strong electromagnets had darkening of their white hair, eliminated their cancer tumors, and they became more energetic.
